Daniel has been a SkillsUSA member for four years, is serving his second term as a state officer, and is excited to attend Idaho State University's Welding Program!

Daniel has attended Leverage Training the past two years at Nationals and has OUTSTANDING leadership skills, which will assist him in his anticipated goal of welding the oil pipelines in the future!

One thing Daniel wants to tell those who are hesitant on joining is: "Just go for it! I have had some of the most fun experiences in my life because of SkillsUSA."

Easton is a second time state officer, and has just completed a year in Idaho State University's welding program! He is a former State and National welding competitor, and looks forward to seeing all of the great competitors SkillsUSA Idaho will send to Nationals this year.

In his free time, Easton enjoys pursuing traditional black and white photography and spending time in the mountains.

This is Wyatt's third year as a SkillsUSA member, second year as a SkillsUSA Idaho State Officer, and first year as a college student. Wyatt has competed at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference all three years of his membership!

In his free time, you can find him in the mountains snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and camping. He is excited to see all of the growth and new members of SkillsUSA Idaho this year!

Meet your 2019-2020 SkillsUSA Idaho Secondary President, Maura Catherine!

Maura Catherine is a first year State Officer and is in the Photography pathway. She has an incredible work ethic, and sees herself finishing her undergraduate education with a double major in biochemistry and photography, and a minor in Spanish. Upon completion, she intends on applying for graduate school!

"One piece of advice I would give for those interested in becoming a SkillsUSA member or running for a State Officer position is to manage your time well and allow for Skills to fit in your schedule as SkillsUSA provides you with a variety of skills such as public speaking!"

Richard Rodriguez

Meet your 2019-2020 SkillsUSA Idaho Secondary Secretary, Richard!

This is Richard's first year as both a SkillsUSA Member AND State Officer! He is a junior at Borah High School, and takes Automotive & Welding classes at Dennis Technical Education Center (DTEC). Richard has plans of serving in the military after graduating, then opening his own auto repair shop!

For anyone thinking of joining SkillsUSA, Richard says, “Do it! It's super fun and for sure a great experience. I signed up to become a state officer my first year and truly didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I have a new adviser who utilizes me as a resource to help better both of our understanding of SkillsUSA.”
