Kayla Hutchings

Area of Occupational Training: Computer Science

As a SkillsUSA State Officer, I want to help new members of SkillsUSA learn to be prepared for their future careers - specifically, I would like to help the smaller schools increase their membership. SkillsUSA has presented opportunities that have allowed me to build my confidence and grow, and I would like to help mentor other members to do the same.

I enjoy computer programming because technology is adapting to help people in miraculous ways! I plan to attend Boise State University, where I will earn my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, then beginning my career as a Software Developer.

My goal is to create unity in our schools and share the ideals of SkillsUSA throughout our state.

I enjoy automotive technology because it offers a hands-on learning experience that provides mechanical problem solving areas and diagnostics. I would like to be a vehicle technician or mechanic, and have hopes to run an entrepreneurial vehicle repair shop one day.
